The Centre Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife, working in collaboration with the forces of law and order, the Judiciary and SSN member the Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA), recently arrested two wildlife traffickers trying to sell four carved pieces of ivory and brought an Egyptian to court for complicity.

On the 9th of September customs officers at Hong Kong port intercepted and seized a shipment of 1,550kg of ivory tusks.  The consignment originated in Tanzania and was sent to Malaysia before being routed to Hong Kong in an effort to avoid detection.
